- 拼音:ji long2 shi4城市名。 位於臺灣東北的省轄市， 面積約一三二平方公里。 舊名“雞籠”， 光緒元年 （西元1875） 因其名不雅而改為“基隆”， 取基地昌隆之意。 為臺灣北部第一大港， 全臺第二大港， 水產產業發達， 以多雨著名， 故有“雨港”之稱。
